After several years on staff with Church Resource Ministries, leading a team called Communitas San Diego, where we sought to discover faith with people outside the influence of the local church, I am now Lead Pastor of Creekside Covenant Church in Redmond, Washington. I love the Church (community of Jesus followers everywhere), and love the church (communities gathered together) but don't see either embodied in as many churches as I think Jesus would like. And that makes me sad, that is my burden and that is what drives me. I want people to be exposed to the hope of Jesus and his bride, the Church, in all her beauty, reflecting mercy, reflecting grace, reflecting redemption, reflecting forgiveness, reflecting Jesus. Look around you, the Kingdom of God is near.
